17 Months

It's been a while since I made a post about what our little monkey is up to, so here we go:

1) Kate is talking more, but still not alot. Here are some of her most common words: YEAH, burrr, Hi, night night, yum yum yum, Dadda, dog, ball, quack quack, ruff ruff ruff, moo, roarrrr (can you tell that we have been working on our animal sounds), please, vroom vroom (the sound for Daddy's motorcycle), block, jump, shoes, and bonk (she usually says this while hitting herself in the head. She knows lots of words but says most of them rarely.

2) Kate is really into helping. She wants to do everything to help Tegan. She loves bringing us things that we ask for and even helping with picking up her toys.

3) Kate really likes wearing big shoes. She is so cute playing BIGFOOT!

4) She LOVES her ATV from MiMi. At first, she only wanted other kids to ride it while she pushed the button, but now, she really enjoys riding solo. She is so funny!

5) Dancing is a definite favorite of Kates. Anytime there is music, she is dancing like crazy and she also loves to sing.

6) Kate loves being a little Momma. She is very into playing with her babies and taking care of them.

7) She gets very frustrated when she is having trouble getting something just right. For example, if she is trying to lay a blanked out flat for her baby and something is in the way, she gets very frustrated and starts throwing the blanket and her baby. (I know this is not good behavior, but it is something I don't want to forget).

8) Most common things that Kate gets in trouble for include (but are not limited to): throwing a fit when frustrated, yelling out when frustrated, selective listening (pretending she doesn't hear us when she doesn't want to do something), and playing in the dog food (she gets it everywhere).
9) Kate is doing very good at going potty in the toilet. I know that she is VERY young. However, she really wants to do it, so I am not discouraging her. She has gone on the potty as many as 6 times in 1 day. And, she tells us when she needs to go sometimes (and sometimes after she has already gone). I am very proud of her and I hope it continues to go well!
