Prindle / Fortenberry Christmas

We opened presents at MiMi's house before heading to Maui the next morning (Maui posts to come).

Oakley Christmas 2011

Oakley family Christmas can be summed up in one word: CHAOS! 2 Grandparents, 9 Parents, 1 Uncle Josh, and 8 kids 3 and under makes for a pretty crazy Christmas. I don't know about everyone else, but I wouldn't have it any other way! (Get ready for lots of pictures!)

As always, we had a blast with our family up in Windom!

Christmas Crafts

I am so glad that Kate is getting old enough to enjoy doing Christmas crafts with me! We had so much fun making our gingerbread house and snowmen.

Kate was very excited to get started
Let the decorating begin

and the cheese balling

more decorating

and a little eating

Kate was so excited that she could hardly stand it

Our finished house

Our finished snowmen . . . I guess Kate's was feeling a little sad

Christmas Decorating!!!

I love decorating for Christmas! I am so glad that Kate is getting old enough to share in the excitement. Daddy is our resident scroog; so, he went downstairs while we played Christmas music and decorated to our hearts' content. (Kate lost interest after a while, but we still had fun!)

Kate really wanted to put her ribbons on the tree

and she was VERY proud of them
Our finished tree complete with presents, Kate, and Christmas puppies
Kate wanted her own tree in her room
Scroog even helped Kate decorate a little

She was so careful about where she wanted the ornaments

Ta Da!

We were talking yesterday about how it was almost time to take the Christmas trees down. Kate said, "Oh, I want to leave my tree up" and I replied, "I'd like to leave my tree up too, but they are only for Christmas". Then, in a very sad voice, Kate put her head down and said, "Oh no, it's OVER!". She is too much. I couldn't love this girl more
