Warning: Long Post of things for Momma to remember.
It is hard to beleive our little monkey is 14 months old. Where does the time go? She is doing more everyday and changing like crazy. In the last 2 months, her talking has really picked up. (Words post coming soon). She definitely doesn't use her words alot, but she does try. Even though Kate doesn't use her words much, she DEFINITELY communicates. She is still nodding and shaking her head like crazy. If she wants something, she will point or bring it to you and nod her head. She follows instructions when we ask her to bring us something or to put something somewhere. She is still VERY stubborn (and we don't have any idea where she gets it). Kate is the sweetest little girl and she is growing up way to fast! She loves purses and likes to carry 2 or 3 at a time on her arms. Her favorite book is her toddler Bible, she listens intently as we read a story at bedtime every night. Kate has been sitting between Momma and Daddy at church pretty well. During the sermon, we let her go play in the nursery. She still doesn't understand that she can't just sing/talk all through church and she is very busy and has a hard time sitting still. We are trying to get Kate to fold her hands and close her eyes during prayers (at home and at church). However, she still thinks it is an exciting game and usually talks and gets all excited while we are praying. I don't know what to do about this because I don't want to discourage her from being excited about prayer, but she is too loud. Kate loves to throw things away in the kitchen trash can. She will pick up paper and take it to the trash can (we have to be careful what we leave laying around). Kate loves to sit on her little potty seat, but we have not started training yet. We are getting her used to the idea, but I don't want to push it. Kate knows where her nose, toes, bellybutton, ears, eyes, and mouth are. She also likes pointing to all of these on everyone else. She loves to put on shoes. She will try to put on her own shoes and socks and gets frustrated when it doesn't work and she loves playing "bigfoot" (where she tries to put on everyone elses shoes). She is quite a character! No more open mouth kisses from Kate. She now puts her lips together and makes that sweet kiss sound. I have to admit that I will miss those open mouth kisses (where she licks you). Maybe no one else will, but I will. She is more interested in playing with her baby doll and loves to hold her under one arm as she runs around. Kate learned to knock on doors. She loves to knock on all closed doors, especially when she knows someone is in the room. If the lights are on in the basement, Kate will bend down and look and say DaaaaDaaaaa. She always thinks Daddy is in the basement if the light is on. Kate loves to clean - wiping off the table, washing your hands and face, mopping the floor at MiMi's. She can also blow her own nose, but it works a little better when she has some help. She doesn't like being conjested and will grab a kleenex or toilet paper and walk to you while blowing her nose. (it sounds more gross than it is, it is actually pretty cute). She carries around a fake flower and sniffs it, and she sticks it in other peoples' faces and wants them to smell it too. Daddy taught Kate to hold the flower in her mouth by the stem (he is such a goober). He also taught her to do this with a fake sword (from Aunt Jamie's Halloween costume). Kate loves to talk on the phone (my old cell phone). She almost always talks to Daddy (if you ask her who she is talking to), and she has just started saying "Hello" when she picks up the phone. Ok, I think that's all for now. I love my big girl! (not a baby anymore).

This sounds soo much like our list of things! She is precious. I agree with you. It goes by TOO fast. But these "big" kids are SO much fun!!
Long post but really neat. She is sooo busy and so much fun to watch.
haha - I love that you don't have any idea where she gets it :)
