I can't believe that our little monkey is 8 months old! She is doing so much now, I can hardly keep up. We love this girl so much!
In big news, Kate said her first word: "Momma"
She is now saying Momma and Dada with meaning (she has said both for a while, but she is actually talking to us now) Last Saturday, Kate got a toy out of her toybox and turned around and handed it to me and very clearly said "Momma" - it was the sweetest sound I've ever heard. She also calls for me when I leave the room. She normally whispers when she says Dada while patting him on the face (usually at night or in the morning).
Her most recent activities include:
giving high fives
giving kisses to Momma, Daddy and her baby doll when asked (she loves kissing other people, but only on her terms)
making her "kissing" sound (clicking her tongue after kissing you)
putting balls in the hole of a toy to watch them roll around (video below)
standing for a few seconds
walking behind her push toy (video below)
She weighs 17lbs, 6oz (50th percentile) and 28 inches long (85th percentile).

So cute! I love the way she watches for the ball to roll back out!
Very impressive. The walking and putting the balls in are both great. I noticed that she put the ball in with her right and her left hand. Does she do more with one than the other?
I can't believe how far she can go with the push toy! I also love how she stopped to look at the camera and ran flat over her baby doll! :)

She uses her left hand more often than her right for this activity.

I was surprised at how far she went too. This video was actually the first time she ever did it. We had tried about a month and a half ago, but she wasn't steady enough (so she would just sit down) and I kinda forgot about it.
She better keep practicing or she be tagged as a "crazy woman driver". Too cute. She does really good!!!
She is getting so big! Rachel better get a move on it! :)
I can't believe how much she is doing!! Kinsey just now started pulling up! I better get a move on it! Very cute!
